Payments on Shopify in Israel: What Actually Works
Shopify Payments is not available in Israel, and Stripe does not support businesses registered here, so an Israeli store takes cards through a local provider from Shopify's own list for Israel: Grow, Hyp, PayPlus, Tranzila PayTech and iCount. PayPal works alongside them — useful as an extra button for buyers abroad, expensive as your only option. And because the store is not on Shopify Payments, Shopify charges its own fee on every sale, on top of the provider's.
Cardcom is the case to check. The Cardcom plugin for WooCommerce is the most-installed Israeli gateway plugin on WordPress.org, and the company says it has a Shopify app — but in September 2026 it was not on Shopify's Israel list. If you are set on Cardcom, get written confirmation that the integration is live for new stores before you sign. Of the listed providers only Grow publishes its prices (and it adds 0.6% on payments through Shopify); the others quote per business, so compare the monthly fee and the clearing rate as two separate numbers. Will my SEO suffer if I migrate from WooCommerce?
Not if the migration is done properly. I set up 301 redirects from every old product URL to the new Shopify equivalent, submit the redirect map to Google Search Console, and update your XML sitemap.
