Israeli Payment Gateway Picker

Pick your platform and what you need — Bit, recurring billing, installments, invoices — and see which Israeli gateways fit, each claim linked to its source.

An Israeli online store pays for card payments in two places: the gateway the site connects to, and the clearing fee, which is negotiated with the acquirer — Isracard, Max or CAL. Most providers quote per business, so the useful question is not “who is cheapest” but “who supports what I need, on my platform”.

This picker answers that from the providers’ own pages. Choose your platform and what you need; each result shows why it fits, what is not confirmed yet, and what to ask before you sign. Nothing is sent anywhere — it runs in your browser.

Gateways that fit

9 providers confirm everything you picked.

At small volumes the fixed monthly fees and extras (3D Secure, documents, platform surcharges) usually cost more than the difference between two clearing rates — so providers with a published price are listed first.

Before you sign — ask every provider

  1. Ask for the terminal fee and the clearing rate as two separate numbers, in writing.
  2. Ask what 3D Secure costs, separately.
  3. Ask when the money reaches your bank account — weekly, monthly, or from the 1st of the next month.
  4. Compare the total monthly cost at your real volume, not the percentage alone.
  5. Selling subscriptions? Ask how failed renewals are retried, how card tokens are stored, and whether they can move with you if you switch.
  6. Ask your accountant which document format they need before you choose.
  7. Ask who maintains the WooCommerce plugin and how quickly it is updated after a WooCommerce release.

Common questions

Which payment gateway is best for a small Israeli online store?

There is no single best one — start from your platform and your cash flow. At small volumes the fixed monthly fees usually matter more than the clearing rate, which is why a provider with a published all-in price, like Grow, is popular with small stores. The trade-off is payout timing: with Grow the money is available from the 1st of the following month.

Which Israeli payment gateways work with Shopify?

Only the providers on Shopify’s own list for Israel: Grow, Hyp, PayPlus, Tranzila PayTech and iCount, plus PayPal. Shopify Payments is not available in Israel, so every sale also carries Shopify’s third-party fee — 2% on Basic, 1% on Grow, 0.6% on Advanced. Cardcom was not on the list in September 2026.

What is the difference between a gateway fee and a clearing fee?

The gateway is the terminal your store talks to; it charges its own setup and monthly fees. The clearing fee on every transaction is charged by the acquirer — Isracard, Max or CAL, and also Tranzila, which holds its own acquirer licence — and it is negotiated per business. Grow is the exception: it sells both as one bundle with a published price.

Can I use Stripe in Israel?

Not with an Israeli business — Israel is not on Stripe’s list of supported countries. Use a local gateway, and add PayPal if you sell abroad.
