Shopify runs on a global CDN. Pages load from the server closest to the buyer — not from your server in Israel. Shopify store Core Web Vitals consistently outperform equivalent WooCommerce stores because Shopify owns the infrastructure layer.
WooCommerce requires plugin updates, backups, server maintenance, and ongoing security — every neglected piece can hurt the store. Shopify handles all of this at the platform level. The average store owner saves 3–5 hours per month in technical maintenance.
Shopify is built from the ground up as a commerce platform. High-converting checkout, native inventory management, a flexible discount system, and integrations with Etsy, TikTok, and Google Shopping — no extra plugins required.
Flash sale with thousands of concurrent visitors? Shopify does not go down. WooCommerce on shared hosting does. Shopify handles traffic spikes on their own infrastructure — you never have to think about servers.
Selecting a theme suited to your industry, customising colours and fonts to match your brand, configuring product pages, collections, homepage, and checkout — including full Hebrew RTL throughout the interface.

Over 70% of purchases in Israel happen on mobile. Every store I build goes through a full mobile review: load speed, navigation usability, and a checkout experience that completes purchases instead of dropping them.

How much does a WooCommerce to Shopify migration cost?
Basic migration (up to 500 products, standard theme): ₪4,500 – ₪7,500 + VAT. Complex store with custom design, integrations, or more than 500 products: ₪9,000 – ₪18,000 + VAT. Use the intake form for a precise estimate.
How long does the migration take?
Small to mid-size store (up to 300 products): 2–3 weeks. Larger store with complex design and integrations: 4–6 weeks. Your existing WooCommerce store keeps running throughout the entire build period.
Will I lose my SEO rankings?
With a proper migration — no. A complete 301 redirect setup ensures Google transfers authority from old URLs to the new ones. In my experience, stores migrated correctly retain 90%+ of rankings within 4–6 weeks.
What is the difference between WooCommerce and Shopify?
WooCommerce is a WordPress plugin — flexible and customisable, but requires ongoing technical maintenance. Shopify is a closed platform — less flexible, but stable, fast, and with built-in support. For most DTC stores with standard products, Shopify wins on total cost of ownership.
Does Shopify support Hebrew?
Shopify supports full Hebrew RTL — including the checkout interface, email notifications, and the customer account page. Professional setup is required to make everything align correctly, but the platform fully supports it.
Which Israeli payment gateways work with Shopify?
Cardcom, Tranzila, PayPlus, and iCredit all work with Shopify via authenticated API connections. All support 3D Secure and instalment payments (Visa and Mastercard). Bit — currently in beta, not recommended for production.
What happens to my existing customers?
We import the customer list (name, email, order history). Customers receive an email to set a new password in the new store. Historical orders are preserved as records — not as live orders in the Shopify interface.
Is Shopify right for my business?
Shopify fits most DTC stores selling physical products. It is a weaker fit for B2B stores with complex role-based pricing, products with complex technical specifications, or stores requiring deep checkout customisation.
