LearnDash, Tutor LMS, LifterLMS and LearnPress run on your own WordPress. You hold the student data, control the infrastructure, and pay a flat annual fee with no revenue share. The most economical solution at 200+ students. Full WooCommerce integration for Israeli payment gateways.
Teachable, Kajabi and Thinkific are live within a day. No hosting to configure, no WordPress, no plugin conflicts. The trade-off: transaction fees on lower plans, ₪450–₪1,100/month on higher plans, and your data lives on their servers. Right for validating a course idea before committing to a full build.
Next.js + Supabase + Stripe/Cardcom: a course platform built exactly to your specifications. Custom admin interface, unique course structure, complex pricing logic, integration with any system. The highest upfront cost — but zero platform constraints, permanently.
All three approaches include full Hebrew and RTL support: right-to-left UI, complete translation, Arabic numeral support, and design that adapts correctly. Not "basic support" — real RTL that has been tested across hundreds of pages.
Cardcom, Tranzila and iCredit — all available via WooCommerce or direct integration in the headless solution. Israeli students can pay by Israeli credit card, instalments (תשלומים), and PayPlus. No requirement for an international credit card.
A family-run online education business I know well runs on Tutor LMS — built by me. I understand the specific needs of Israeli course creators: bilingual content, local payments, design, and post-launch support.

Which LMS is right for me?
Expecting 200+ students and want full ownership — LearnDash or Tutor LMS. Validating an idea and want to avoid touching code — Teachable. Need absolute control and ready to invest — custom Next.js. I help decide in a scoping call.
Can it handle Hebrew and English?
Yes. WordPress solutions support full Hebrew including RTL. I build bilingual courses with WPML. Custom Next.js builds RTL from the ground up with next-intl. Teachable/Kajabi — partial support, requires version-specific testing.
How do I accept payments from Israeli students?
On WordPress: WooCommerce with Cardcom, Tranzila, PayPlus, or iCredit. On headless: direct integration with the same gateways. On Teachable/Kajabi: Stripe only — does not support older Israeli cards. This is one of the reasons WordPress is preferred for the Israeli market.
Can I migrate from Teachable or Kajabi?
Yes, but it is a project. Course content (video, text) can be exported. Student data — records, quiz scores, progress — is locked in the platform and requires manual migration. I help plan and execute the transition.
How long does it take?
Basic LearnDash/Tutor LMS: 2-4 weeks. With full sophistication (payments, RTL, custom design): 4-8 weeks. Full headless Next.js: 8-16 weeks. Depends on customisation level and integrations required.
What does ongoing support look like?
I offer ongoing support via monthly retainer: plugin updates, bug fixes, adding courses, design changes. Alternatively, full handoff with detailed documentation for self-management. No mandatory dependency — you choose.
